Equality among our society
As you might or might not know, the importance of peoples equality is a very very serious and important thing for me. I have had experiences That made me see the world in a much wider perspective.
I'm a Muslim girl, I've lived in a country were the Muslim population was less than 1% and I still lived an incredibly happy life. The question of "How?" has been on my mind for a very long time, and I haven't really had the chance to sit down and think of the answer to it. Until three years ago, when one of my best friends came here to Thailand and visited me. It was then, I started to take this question seriously. How did I grow up happy, in a country with a different religion and a different society. And how come so many others got bullied and threaten, not only of what religion they had, but also by their personality, taste, opinion etc...
This got me thinking
a lot about how and why was I so fortunate to grow up in a society where this horrible thing wasn't something that happened often. Sure there were people who were bullied, but I guess that the society really valued this problem and everyone tried their best to help fix it. And this thinking finally got me an answer. As I said, the collaboration in the society was very good, but also most of the adults around us were very good role models to the children and teenagers. And all of my friends, who not only respected my point of view about my faith, but also were very supportive of me, no matter what I did.
Now when I think about it, how could was I so fortunate to grow up like this, not to mention, all the clean water and healthy food and clothes, while so many other teenagers around the world were bullied every day, so many people around the world were starving and so many people didn't have the things they deserved to have. Now I believe that what ever happens in this world is in the name of Allah, but I also believe that it is our responsibility to help each other out.
There is a such wide difference between the rich and the poor and the respect that people have for each. And still, we're all human being. I mean look at us, we all have a body that looks almost exactly the same, both inside and outside. Even if many are put up with tests that makes them stronger, but in the end, we all have a heart.

But it still doesn't feel right..

A heart that makes us feel emotions and a brain that makes us think and choose the difference from right and wrong. And still we get treated differently from our appearances, our wealth and our faith?
I would just like to write all this, that has been on my mind for a very long time, to say that it doesn't matter where you're from, what you believe in or how much money you have. People tend to underestimate you, but never underestimate yourself. Stick to what you believe in and don't care what others think. Do what you think is right and don't try to fit in and find the most popular friends. We all have a place to fit in and those who accept you for who you are, those are the real friends. And it doesn't matter if you don't have money.
The only thing that matters is that you are proud of who you are and what you have.
I believe if we all think like this, we would have a much better world. I'm not saying that all I'm writing is right, but what I'm trying to do, is make the world a better place for everyone. Everyone deserves to have a chance of living a happy and healthy life. And I really hope that by the help of you, we can do it. It's not embarrassing to compliment someone, even if others don't like them. It's not wrong to donate little money to a charity, because you don't have much in you're own pocket. All we need in this world is equality and we need to unite. Help make the world a better place by spreading this message and if you have a bad opinion on someone, change it. Try to look at the bright side of that person. Try to donate more to the poor. I'm 100% sure that if we all collaborate, we can make the world a better place.
